BACKGROUND SUMMARY:

Dr. Hendren currently works with startup companies helping them establish themselves in their markets, raise funds, and providing consulting on technology, management, negotiation, and operations. He often serves on their Board of Directors and specializes on technology companies. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Chemical BioSolids, LLC and a Managing Member of Pet-Treats-Online.com, LLC, a new ecommerce marketing company established to sell gourmet dog treats.

Dr. Hendren led ARKSYS from a small 4-employee entrepreneurial company to a $12,000,000, internationally known organization. In 1996 he moved to Chairman of the Board after being President since 1980. He has supervised major projects and has an excellent record of bringing projects in on time and within budget. Dr. Hendren has been a leader in bringing Arkansas Systems from its inception as a small Arkansas business to its current position, employing over 170 Arkansans and serving 1400 plus customers in 72 countries. He served on the board of directors from 1977-1998.

Arkansas Systems received the Arkansas Business - Business of the Year award in 1987. Arkansas Systems was also a finalist in the Earnst & Young - Entrepreneurial Enterprise of the Year contest. Arkansas Systems during his tenure was the second largest software firm in Arkansas and the largest software-only firm in Arkansas.

Science Applications, Inc. (SAIC)
Group Manager - Safeguard Antiballistic Missile System – 1973 1977

While at Science Applications, Inc., Dr. Hendren served as Group Manager for a four year, 15 million dollar contract to provide management and technical support to the United States Army Ballistic Missile Defense Command. This project consisted of the management, evaluation, and technical support necessary for the Army to manage a multibillion-dollar software system development. Dr. Hendren also performed three complete redesigns of the Perimeter Acquisition Radar (PAR) System to change the role of a national resource in order that a multibillion-dollar investment might be saved when the Anti Ballistic Missile System was closed when the SALT II treaty was signed with USSR.

Safeguard System Evaluation Agency
United States Army – 1972 1973

As a government employee of the Safeguard System Evaluation Agency at White Sands Missile Range, Dr. Hendren performed independent tests against the Weapons Process Software to determine system boundary capabilities and to investigate the performance of critical paths in the software. His responsibilities included scenario design, test execution, analysis, briefings and final reporting.
